Customer received a new Audi E Tron from his employer through a business lease arrangement.As this was the customers first EV, they didn’t have a charge point installed at their property.They were seeking a 7kW domestic charger that they could plug in when they got home from work which would enable the car to be fully charged the next morning.
Rapid Charge installed one Project EV 7kW electric vehicle charge point.Our customer can monitor their charger usage through the Project EV app which can also run diagnostic reports and perform over the air updates.Rapid Charge managed the Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme process on behalf of the customer to claim back £350 for the installed charge point.
Rapid Charge, who offer a fully managed service from initial consultation through to surveying, installation and maintenance, were able to provide a state of the art charging units that enables a fast and convenient charge.Our customer is able to charge their vehicle overnight while they have dwell time. The 7kW charge point is a perfect solution as it will charge a car to 100% battery capacity between 5-6 hours.
The unit is untethered providing a universal charge point should our customer change their car in the future.Our customer have praised the easy use and performance of the charge point.
Furthermore, Project EV’s charge points are internet enabled, either via LAN, WIFI or 4G, which means our customer is able to troubleshoot many problems remotely. Problems can be resolved more efficiently, compared with ‘dumb’ charge points, as the need for on-site maintenance is reduced.
